Why Belgian tanning salons need specialized software, not a generic till

Booking, point of sale, equipment control and compliance rarely fit in one generic tool.

Why Belgian tanning salons need specialized software, not a generic till

Most tanning salons we talk to did not choose their current setup, it grew one piece at a time: a generic till bought off the shelf, a booking app added later, a paper register kept because compliance asked for it. Each piece works on its own. Together, they leave gaps nobody notices until a client complains or an inspector asks a question.

What a generic till misses

A till built for retail knows products and prices. It does not know that a client bought a ten-session pack, has three sessions left, and is due for one today. Session packages and subscriptions get bent into discount codes and manual notes, which works until someone forgets to update them.

What a booking app alone misses

A booking app can fill a calendar, but it usually has no idea what happens at the till or on the tanning bed. It cannot warn a client their exposure interval is too short, and it cannot tell staff which cabin is free right now.

Specialized means the pieces talk to each other

In a purpose-built system, booking a session, running the cabin, charging the client and logging the visit are one action, not four. That is the difference between software adapted to a tanning salon and software built for one.
